Scattered T-storms Through THU

Scattered showers and t-storms will remain with us through Thursday before a cold front ushers in a drier airmass for the end of the week and over the weekend. Temperatures will be noticeably cooler, especially Friday. The weekend looks dry for now, but rain chances return early next week.

Forecast Discussion

A slow-moving front continues to edge ever so closer to western NC, but should remain west of the area through late tomorrow. This will keep a moist and unstable airmass in place with a good chance of scattered showers and t-storms through Thursday evening.

The front will make more headway by late Thursday and should push through the area overnight Thursday. This front will usher in a noticeably cooler and drier airmass for the end of the work week and continuing into the weekend. Lows will be on the chilly side, especially Friday and Saturday night. Otherwise, the weekend is looking dry for now.

A warm front is forecast to move through the area early next week with at least isolated to scattered rain chances returning.
